Michele,
In Hungarian the name written first is the family name. So, if your
gr-grandmother's name were, for example, Miklos Julia, in English it would
be Julia Miklos. Miklos normally is a man's first name, but it is also used
as a family name, but not very often.

Hi all, in this case, is Miklos a first name? My hungarian paternal
g-grandmother's maiden name was listed as Miklos.
