Joe,

I checked for Janos Major using Heritage Quest and didn't find him in 1910
or 1920 (can't name-search 1930 yet). I checked other Majors living in
Cleveland in 1910 and found:
1910 > OHIO > CUYAHOGA > 6-WD CLEVELAND
Series: T624 Roll: 1168 Page: 77
MAJOR JOSEF 39 M W HUNG OH CUYAHOGA 6-WD CLEVELAND 1910
Address: 3596 W 48th Street

On this same page was addresses on W 50th. Unfortunately, they were
3519-3495. I tried scanning forward and backward quite a few pages and
never made it out of the 3400-3500 block.

I took another look at the Ellis Island manifest and I believe Istvan Acs
(or Aco as its indexed under)was going to 3168 W 50 th. I'm guessing 3168
may be in another ward altogether?

Some suggestions: Look for Major and Magyar. Look in 1910 as well. They
may have moved by 1920.

Also, use Stephen Morris' census site which will help you find the ED for
1910 and/or 1930 given an address. It even allows you to plug in a house
number, link to mapquest, find bordering streets to help determine the ED.
It will even tell you what series/roll/pg the ED is found on. Here's the
main page which links to the census pages:
http://www.stevemorse.org/index.html

Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanx,
Sharon D. Guerra
