Thank you Joe. It looks like I have found the man I am searching on the
RC parish records listed as a confirmation at the age of 25. I note
that there are many people listed on this record that are older (44, 50,
27, 30, 48). Would these likely be "converts" or just people who have
not been confirmed in their youth?

Hi Gord,

it means h(elveticus) v(allás) or confession. One of the Reformed
