A couple of yrs ago My cousin Gave me about 20 letters written in Hungarian..I've had help translating some of them by people on this list.. do to the letters I found My great Grandmothers Real spelling for her last name!
I used the last name and found posts on several web pages by a man with the same last name in hungary! I emailed him And Yehaa I found living Hungarian Relatives living in Budapest and even better he speaks English also! He even was able to tell Me where some of the relatives from the letters I have live today..
After Five yrs Of praying and working I have my old family roots back.. Never give up..
and pray that your relatives keep old papers and so on.. My Great Grandparents have been gone for over 20 yrs and My Grandfather died in an accident in 1973 when I was 9.. So without this list I may never have realized my dream! Thank to the list and to those who helped me translate my old letters From Great Grandma's family!
