I have just returned from a week in Salt Lake during
which I located lots of lots of records many of them
about my Szalls which I am now slowly processing.

On the death record of Josephus Simon born to Stephan
Smion and Elizabeth Szall is the following note:

miles abbientiatus ex Regimun Archi Pinapis Ernesi
[Ernefi?] nri 48.

As I type this in, I am wondering: did he die in the
Hungarian Army?
