I think I already know the answer to this, but
sometimes I need to be brought back to reality with
confirmation.

I know its customary for Hungarian women to keep
their maiden names, and when a married woman is
buried her name is recorded in the church records
using her maiden name. (or with ne following her
husbands name)

For those who have reviewed the Hungarian parish
records, have you come across any exceptions to this
custom where the women is buried using her married
name and listed as a widow? (no husbands name
mentioned) This would be in 1847.

Thanks Judy
