The place you are looking for is Vel'ké Kapusany (there is a small "v" above
the letter "s"), the current Slovakian name for Nagykapos, Kapos Járás, Ung
Megye in the old Kingdom of Hungary. Today it is in Slovakia.

You can see it as Nagykapos on the following map for Ung megye:

The settlement had Reformed and Jewish houses of worship. Check the LDS
Family History Catalog to see if they have the microfilmed records:

If your people were not of the Reformed or Jewish faiths, you will have to
