I am also searching for the final resting place of a family member, my husband's
maternal grandfather, Michael Muszka (Muszka Mihaly) who came to America in
1901. He was killed in a coal mining accident in 1901 or 1902.
There is a series of books called "Dept. of Mines State of Pennsylvania" which I
have researched at the Ligonier, Pa. Public Library Genealogy Department. It
might begin with 1906 or 1907 and has listed all the mining fatalities, their
country of origin and cause of death in the mine. I would have needed the years
previous. The State Archives in Harrisburg, Pa. has a record of mining
fatalities also. This is not indexed so you would have to go in person to
research it, but it is worth the effort if you live in the area.
So far I have been unsuccessful, but will not give up.
Good luck in your search.
