Jean, I also have family in Romania and as you say no records at the
FHL. Many years ago I did receive a copy of my mothers birth
certificate but it took months and before they sent it they asked for
money, $60.00, which I sent. Last year I hired a researcher to do
the work for me and he was very good and not too expensive, or so I
thought. If your interested I will send you information. Marlo
