What have you researched so far as your 'starting point'? Did gparents marry
in the US? and do you have their marriage application? Do you have certs of
death for them and did the obituaries record the name of the town/village
they were from? Did either of them have social security numbers and have you
obtained the SS#5 application which would state their places of birth? Have
you obtained the SS#5 applications for the sons who were born in Hungary?
What about birth certificates in the US for the children, as one of more of
these *may* record the place of birth of the parents? Have you obtained
immigrant passenger ship arrivals and determined where their last place of
residence was in Europe? Have you obtained possible naturalization papers
for them and for the sons born in Europe? What about copies of probate
records (wills) for deceased persons - ALL property is probated whether there
is a will or not and these court documents may contain more information about
origins.

Just a reminder that one CANNOT just start researching in Europe for family
unless one has taken all the appropriate steps to gather all family
documentation of vital events here in the US (or Canada or whatever) first.
Such information is not yet available on computers (although it grows day by
day) but what is available are dozens of *how to * guides for conducting
family history research. Finding the European origin is one of the most
common walls faced by all of us, BUT there will be a record (documentation)
of some event which provides this info -- you just have to find it.
