My family came from Herczegfalva/Mezflava to Canada. Ive traced the
family in Herczegfalva. Working backwards, any record of the family name
suddenly stops. I have the birth records for my great great grandfather in
1823 and his younger brother and sister. No records of his parents
marriage or births have been found before this.

I understand that my family were Danube-Swabians and that communities moved
and settled together. Does anyone know if the people who moved to
Herczegfalva area in Fejer, moved from a specific area in Austria/Germany?

Can someone suggest to me how I could go about finding out this information?
