Ok, I think I need to bite the bullet and have a professional researcher do
some work in Hungary.

Here's my scenario, my g-g-grandfather was illegitimate. I have his birth
record and mother's name (no father listed). It appears that his mother was
from Lebeny, Hungary because the surname is very prevalent there. It appears
that the mother goes to a nearby village (Lebenymiklos) and has baby.
However, I think she may have used a different first name because I can't
seem to track her back in Lebeny through the parish records. Child may have
been raised by her or another family, don't know that yet. Child was born in
1837.

Now, when I've had research done in Germany, I've been very lucky and found a
ton of information through probate and tax records.

So, I have two questions, did Hungary have similar tax/probate records during
that time?
Does anyone have a professional researcher they'd recommend in Hungary?
Thanks so much for any help.
