Suzanne,

Your suggestion to post replies to The List is excellent. It is in this manner
that the learning process can continue. How very nice it is when someone posts
a message, another person will recognize a name or a city and possibly a family
connection will be made. I am speaking with personal experience in this very
matter. We were fortunate enough to make the acquaintance of others, among them
Suzanne, who were also researching Makkosjanosi, Bereg Megye now in the
Ukraine. Church Records in Hungarian were not available. With a little bit of
help we made contact with family members, seven first cousins who have children
and grandchildren. They have sent us letters, a Christmas card, an Easter card
but most important of all family pictures of everyone including a beautiful
Csaladfa. We didn't even know there were any relatives left there in
Makkosjanosi. They have even surprised us with telephone calls. With the help
of this particular cousin, our family tree has been able to be completed with
the names of everyone. I am expecting pictures of their Greek Catholic Church
also which was built in 1860.

A few weeks ago I sent a photo album of all their relatives here in America.
They should be overjoyed upon receiving it.

The city is very small only about 1200 people so every name we see mentioned on
the Internet, we feel may be a relative, such as Suzanne who had ancestors from
there.

If anyone may feel the topic of discussion may bring in too much mail, there is
the DELETE button to use.

I respectfully request of you to keep learning in this manner, and I hope that
someone will have the good fortune that our family has experienced.

Margaret
