Hi Connie,

I recently finished reading two excellent books about the Gypsies. I
recommend "A History of the Gypsies of Eastern Europe and Russia", by David
M. Crowe. It is well researched and chock full of statistics, possibly
more than you want.

"Bury Me Standing, The Gypsies and Their Journey", by Isabel Fonseca is an
easier read. Many photos and a few maps are included. Miss Fonseca takes
you past the history and into the world of todays European Gypsies. It is
an eye opener.
