Subject: [HUNGARY-L] WWI POW camps - Siberia

Hello all,

I’m looking for information on the Austrian-Hungarian military and Russian POW
camps in World War I.

I’ve just received a copy of a POW index card from the Austrian State Archives
that tells me my grandfather was captured in Tarnopol about 1915 and interned in
Pensa 21/9-4.10 15, which I believe was in Siberia. My questions are:

1. Does anyone know how I can find out the meaning/location of “Pensa 21/9-4.10
15”?
2. The card also has information about his Truppenkörper (unit?) which is
handwritten and difficult to read. Does anyone know of a list of World War I
units for the Austrian-Hungarian army that I could compare it with?

Thanks,
Diana
