Hi Mary,
I do know that there are several VegArdo's. The one that I am working on is
the one that is located in the former Bereg Megye. Is that the same one you
are referring to?
My grandmother Eda KOVACH was born there in 1887,and that is close to the
village of Kis Began, where my grandfather Istvan KOZAR was born in 1881 They
were both m. in VegArdo, in 1907. I know that their two towns were very
close, because my grandpa used to walk there to court my grandma. His parents
were Istvan and Borbala PALAGYI KOZAR. Her's was Jozsef and Szusanna KOVACH
KOVACH. KOVACH was a very common name.
