Stephen,
It could be "Nagykereki", which is in the SE part of the country, very
near the Romanian border. About 10 km (6 miles) from
Biharkeresztes. It is a small town. "Lamár" could've been the name.
If the family was jewish, that could have been the reason for the
Germans to
take them to concentration camps or for any other reason that the
Germans can think of.
