A good web site for Danube Swabian history is:
http://www.genealogy.com/gene/reg/ESE/dshist.txt
There are many others - just do a search on Danube Swabian. >>
Janice,
Thanx for another direction to try. I have the same problems with my g-g-
grandparents, where one document says Hungary and the other has Austria. Mine
arrived to the US in 1895. Do you have any idea of where they may have left
(Port) from to get to the US ?
I have never found anything on them since their arrival. Of course having a
common name like Goldman does not help.
