I see postings mentioning Hungarian Census records, ships records, Hungarian
death and marriage books -- the list goes on and my memory doesn't --
but the point is, us newbies don't know *anything*. It would be nice if
when someone posts mentioning such search sources that they tell us how they
found the source in the first place! Maybe someone else has someone on that
ship list. How about the census records, maybe someone else has family that
was counted in Hungary in 1889! And quit, PLEASE, using abbreviations!
Newbies don't know what they stand for. UofM could be many different
places! IGF FTW . . .>>

I wholeheartedly agree with Nancy ---- that's what these mail lists are for
---- to help each other --- not just an excerise of typing email!!!!!!!!
And in the spirit of the season --- not a very funny remark!!!!!!!!!!!
Several other mail lists have people who volunteer their own time to actually
do lookups of censuses, death dates, obits, and other resources then put the
info & how & where it was found back on the mail list so everyone can learn
how to do their own research when they are in the location in which the
research can be done.
That's how all these mail lists should be operating!!!!!!!!!!!
