I am doing research on my father's surname, HERCZKU.
I don't have much information, and only a few "stories" were told when I
was young.

What little information I have is that he was born as MIHALY HERCZKU, in
Kallosemjen,which is close to the Romanian border, on November 14, 1936.
His father was Pal Herczku and his mother was Margit Roszasz. I have no
birthdates or place of birth of either of them. There were 6 children in
the family, and they lived in Budapest.

My father had told us about going to work at his grandfather's vineyard
in the summertime. Also, his father was a blacksmith.

Another story was that the name "Herczku" had been changed some
generations ago, from German.

I would appreciate any help, or direction for what to do next.
