Research so far has led me to VAS County, village of Boba, in Hungary. This
is where John Nagy married his first wife, Barbala, in 1899.

Any suggestions on the quickest or easiest way to obtain this marriage
certificate?
A letter to the Archives in Budapest came back with a note to write the
Hungarian Embassy here in the U.S.
