While we on the subject of latin in church records & I am sure there
are many of us who can always learn something new, I am trying to figure
out what this burial record of an ancestor really says:(It's 1802
Hungary)
"Die 2 Juni
Sepulous est D.Georgius Stermencszky ex Sylvanus Szudva[niefsky]
moribinio necessanis providus,annos 54.Jablonca"

Jablonca is the name of the village this man lived in and I can clearly
see that he died or was buried on Jun 2 but can someone tell me what
Sylvanus means in this context? Is it another person's name? Magda

Thanks for any inputs.
