I am doing research on the Beranek Surname. Vince Beranek was born in
Gibau, Moravia, Austria in 1871. He was one of 13 siblings born to Vince
Beranek and Anna Urban. Vince moved to Budapest Hungary sometime between
1871 and 1900. Vince Beranek married Anna Bahnik. Vince immigrated to the
United States in June of 1900 from the port of Bremen aboard the Marie
Theresa. His wife and 3 children immigrated in December of the same year.
He was a marble cutter by trade. Family history claims that he fled
Hungary to escape military duty.
I am the great grandaughter of this person and would like to locate long
lost family members. I have reason to believe that no one else immigrated
to the United States at this time. He left 12 other siblings in Hungary.
Please help me locate my lost cousins.
