This is interesting to me. I've been trying to locate a town in
Transylvania (Romania) by the name of Suberbergen. The spelling
Siebenbergen is the closest I've found. Perhaps my grandmother was
referring to Transylvania itself rather than a town. Does anyone out there
have any clues for me?

Could seven steps be siebenbergen (German name) for Translyvania?

My family is supposed to have come from this area.

a folk dance 'form' in Transylvania with that name.
