I am trying to locate the region of France that the surname of "FINEL" may
e located in. I am not familiar with the geography of France to know which
Rootsweb" message board or boards I should subscribe to and place a
essage. I have learned from some return messages that this surname may
ave come from the areas of LOZE`RE, MENDE, FLORAC and the CEVENNES
OUNTAINS.
he time line I am looking at is around 1700 to 1748.
