Listers --

As I feared, some subscribers have not
read my previous message carefully or in
its entirety.
There have already been responses to
my previous message -- both on the list
and to me privately -- even though I
specifically requested that subscribers
**not** respond for now.

Here is what I said in my previous
post --

so please read the following carefully.

For the next few days, I will be leaving
the Surnames List pages as they are.
.......<snip>......
Therefore, until further notice, please
**do not** post any messages on this
topic (eg. new submissions or changes for
the Surnames List), either to the list
or to me privately. You will be able to do so
in a few days but please wait for my post to
the list letting everyone know when and how
to do this.
My preference is that the process be
done slowly and in stages because,
frankly, it makes the work of updating and
editing the pages easier and less chaotic
for me.
So....to sum up what I've already said.
Do nothing right now except browse
through the HWE Surnames List pages
......... Further instructions as
to how to inform me of changes,
additions or new submissions will be
posted to the list over the next few days.
Hold off any contributions on this topic
until then."

Lastly, I also request yet again that
huge chunks of previous messages --
or worse yet, entire copies of previous
messages -- not be sent back to the list
in replies. Use your Delete key! Takes only
