Hello Listers,
I have been able to trace my ancestors back to my gggggggggFather PIERRE PELLUET, born at St Cornier des Landes (near Tinchebray in Normandy) circa 1615 and who married a JACQUELINE SOREL around 1640.
Subsequent generations were heavily involved with the Protestant church at LeFresne and there is a family tradition saying we are descended from Huguenots. Jacky Delafontenelle has been very helpful with information re the Protestant church at LeFresne.
However, I have reached my brick wall and would welcome any help.
First, I cannot find any further details about PIERRE including who were his parents and siblings ?
Secondly, although it would be nice to identify a firm Huguenot link, I suspect in truth it is more a case of strong Protestant belief in the family at the time. How do I prove or disprove that they were Huguenots ?
Any guidance on clearing the brick wall would be much appreciated
Best wishes
Cyril Pelluet
