I would like to reiterate that the IGI is just a search tool, an index. If
it leads you to a parish record or another primary source that is where you
do your research, not on the IGI. Also all of the parish records in
England for instance are not indexed on the IGI so just because the family
you seek is not on the IGI does not mean they are not on a filmed copy of
the original parish records.
