Hi Sheela

I've looked for both names in the Hug Soc of GB records and the only
references there are in the Norwich Church.

If he was around at the time he obviously was, I think that what you'll end
up with is a name change, probably a mistranscription which makes tracking
him harder. I've looked in the Index to Naturalizations and Denizations
particularly and he (nor anything like the name) appears in there, even
using a phonetic approach.

Not sure what to suggest next really, perhaps an approach to the Norfolk
County Records Office?
