Hi Shane
Yes, I've found records of skilled foreign Protestants being invited to settle in Stamford at about that time as it was going through an economic depression (Stamford was half in Lincolnshire and half in Northamptonshire). They had their own Walloon Church.
Wasn't Northamptonshire also one of the parts of the country with a lot of weavers in the sixteenth century- rather like Norfolk and Suffolk?
