Peter (and anyone else wondering), pdf
files cannot be sent to HWE or any other
Rootsweb mailing lists. The Rootsweb filters
will accept only plain text messages. Anything
else will be rejected.

However, the Message Boards are set
up so that one can add certain types of
attachments to their post. But pdf files
are not one of the files which are
acceptable. Attachments have to be
either Gedcom files or graphics files.

Should anyone want to add an attachment
on a Board, however, here's how to do it on
the HWE Board. It'll work the same way on
any Rootsweb Board, though.
Once you're on the HWE Board here:
http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=topics.religious.huguenots.huguenots-walloons-eur
click on Post New Message which you'll see
near the top on the left. This will open up a
window in which you can type your message.
For example, saying what is in the attachment you're posting.
Below that you'll see another link which
says Attachments: [Add].
Clicking on that will lead you to a place
where you can type the attachment
info. However, notice that it says at the
top:

"You may only upload GEDCOM files
or graphics files. Graphics files will be
converted to .JPG or .GIF upon upload.
Other files types are not accepted."

about publications cease, as I requested
