Hi folks,

My maiden name was/is "Chaplin". I have been told that this might
derive from a French Huguenot name..."Chaplain" ?
My Grandad was born and brought up in Eire where a wave of Hugenots
apparently went some 500yrs ago, so there might
also be an Irish connection with all of this...

Any idea/comments to set me off on the right track to find out more....?
