books is excellent but just a note of caution before we all get carried away
here.

I am afraid that I've misled people -- my fault for not being specific. I am
not interesting in building a geneaology-specific site. I am not interested
in digitizing whole books, in-copyright or not. I am not interested in
crimping anyone's revenue stream, real or imagined, stealing anyone's IP,
etc.

Instead of junking up the discussion group, I'll write up a little "project
description" this weekend and post it on one of the many sites that I pay
for out of the goodness of my heart ;-> and then post a pointer to the list.
People who want to play can contact me, and we'll take this discussion
offline.
