Dear Listers
I am new to this list.
I have been told that the surname* CAPON *which I am researching is of French Huguenot descent.
Although I can find a great deal of Huguenot History it does not connect with the family stories
of the *Capon*'s immigrating via the Channel Islands. I have learned that in 1548
Large groups of French Huguenots began escaping to Channel Island, but I do not have any personal
research before *Henry and Elizabeth Capon* whom I found living in Downham, Norfolk in 1795.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
