Jan Huus .ah yes..the fellow who had the nerve to use a chalice at communion. the nerve of him. He was indeed known as a radical in the 1400's. Did you know that he also had the temerity to use the language of the local people in his sermons. None of that latin gibberish for that man.
In some ways I have never really thought much of that Cauvin, a lot of talk but little action it would seem. Zwingli at least did get out and rant and rave. Cauvin had the advantage of hearing the voices of others and so take their thoughts as his own and twist them to suit.
I still have doubts as to the fame of these characters. But then again I have never been able to understand zealots. I wonder what went on inside their heads. Just as well they tired all that mumbo jumbo prior to psychiatry comming along. Imagine what Freud would have said had he had Cauvin on his couch ?
I shall mull, ponder, seek internal thought and return to this topic soon.
