Hi Lesley

Well, in an idle moment on my last day in the Library for a month I looked up your SLUCE person in Vol 26:

There is a list of previously unpublished letter of application for the French (Huguenot) Hospital one of which was for a Sarah SLUCE who was descended or related to the GARDELIER family.

Unfortunately, didn't have time to try to finds the original application but that's a start anyway.
