Well first of all lets see if this is your man ?

Grangier Henry Marius John : SERN 6511 : POB Brisbane
QLD : POE Liverpool NSW : NOK M Granger Anne

It seems that he received a GSW twice. One to the
abdomen and one to the left thigh.

If this is your man then it is suggested you try this

Now I am only taking a guess, you might like to look in
Switzerland for the name or along the France / Suisse
border regions as it is a reasonably common name in
that part of France.
