Hello friends,
While there may be no direct link between Catharism and the Huguenots, I
suspect an understandable propensity to rebel against the Catholic church
in certain areas. We have the Waldensians after the Cathars. My family
seem to have been early Huguenots & had connexions with the South-West. I
have just made a tour of the villages associated with my family
(Delaforce) which can be seen on:-

& very picturesque they are, too. I would not be surprised if the family
was up to its neck in Catharism but have no evidence.
