Thank you for responding.
I have no information about the "Marquis de la Haye" Except that he left
Picardy for Cork ( it might have been Dublin and then Cork) as a Huguenot
Refugee + - 1693. His son, (might have been grandson?) was Colonel Horace
Hayes 1735-1807. (de la Haye was changed to Hayes) A governor to the sons of
King George 111. Married to Elizabeth Thirkell from Teddington Surrey. Their
son was Thomas Hayes, a Judge under the East India Company who died 1847.
Married to Isabel Shelton from Rossmore Ireland. 1792-1875.
Any suggestions how I can find out about the Marquis life and family in
Picardy and later in Ireland?
