Hello Fellow Listers,

It has been some time since I dabbled yet again into
who did what to whom and why. That is not to say that I
have not been mulling over various text.

One of recent interest concerns Catharism. Seems to
have died out prior to Calvin, possibly around the 14th
century at the latest.

But!

Sometime ago there was a discussion on women of note or
the importance of women in the Huguenot following.

It seems to me, from my currrent reading, that this
Catharism held much appeal to women. And it would also
appear as though there are similarities between the
Cathar following and the early Huguenot.

Does anyone have knowledge of why women found Catharism
of such interest and is there really any relationship
between Cathar and Huguenot ?

I shall ponder why awaiting any response to the list.

Kind Regards,
Peter Leroy
