Subject: [HWE] Some Names

Hello Fellow Listers,

Some of us subscribed are of French descent and so
finding many of our ancestors can be a little more
difficult than if they came from other countries.

As has been offered previously, I would like to suggest
yet another source on the Internet which may just turn
up a name that you are searching for in France.

And for those interested in how women were treated for
their faith, then may I suggest the same source.

Being burned at the stake was not fun. Still wouldn't
be.

Now I am aware that this source is not exactly for this
HWE list. However, as it does offer an insight to the
persecutions that were to come during the wars of
religion in France, perhaps our concierge will make
allowance ?

The source is the English translation of The
Inquisition Record of Jacques Fournier, Bishop of
Pamiers 1318-1325

To be found at
http://www.sjsu.edu/depts/english/Fournier/jfournhm.htm

As mentioned, there are some specific people noted in
full. Some of these people go on to mention others and
I know that I am interested in at least two names.

I hope someone finds that elusive link long sought.

Kind Regards,
Peter Leroy
