Tony -
Let me hastily say that this was not my comment, but a preceed form from The
Oxford Names Compendium.
So far as the name and York is concerned; of course York was the last
location in this country at which Jews were burnt at the stake; pure
anti-Semitism. I believe this was in the C16th but no doubt I will be
corrected on that. This being an extreme form of religious intoleration,
something the Huguenots were only too used to, perhaps this thread is not
too far off subject!
I'm sure your problems with the Armenia community are worse than mine with
Imperial Russia. I have decided not to learn the Cyrillic alphabet!
Completely off subject - are you by any chance the Fuller with a 'river
steamer' boat?
Yours Aye Andrew Sellon East Anglia

those qualities which our fellow creatures love and respect. Rev. Sydney
