Regarding this thread, what type of churchs were the "French Episcopal
Churchs" found in, at least Bristol and Plymouth (Stonehouse?) in the 17th
Century. Where they truly episcopalian or "protestant "reform churchs? Or
where they a transition device in the assimilation of the French "strangers"
in to the English community. Or where they Anglican churchs whose service
was in the French language, similar to the Chapel in the crypt at Canterbury
Cathedral. The Bristol and Stonehouse churchs are referred in Vol. XX of the
Quarto series, published by the Huguenot Society of GB and I.
Is this more heat or is there light here?
