Subject: [HWE] Pronounciation of "Huguenot"

When I was in school (in the US), the teachers pronounced "Huguenot," as
hue-ga-not. When I was in England last year, I heard it pronounced
hue-go-no (no T sound). My dictionary (American) has the T pronounced.
What is the proper pronounciation? Thank you! Deborah Large Fox (who now
wishes she took French in high school!)
