Ken,

I'm not certain why you think you should be looking to Scotland for your
ancestors. You may indeed be correct to look there; however, the Roodee that
I found using Google is in England (Chester). Chester is a lovely old walled
city not far from the Welsh border. Roodee means 'Island of the Cross'. You
