Can anyone describe the area in which this river flows to the sea, such as farmland, rolling hills, mining, etc. I am turning my attention from France & Netherland to this area to look for ancestors from 1650-1673 who were probably from France and eventually came to America. After arriving he named one of his properties "Roodee" ( meaning River Dee?) which may be a clue to his residence in Scotland since this name was listed in the emigrants Will. Whether they were Huguenots has not been established as yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated since many records were not required during this era although church records may be a start. Unfortunately, I do not know the original spelling of the name but was angliciized to Michael DISHAROON.
