I need some help in finding additional information about Noe, Pierre and
Jean Cazalet (circa 1660-1727). I would like to identify their parents. It
may be that Noe (Hoah, Noel) married Marie Montels (Monteils) in Montpellier
in 1682. In any case, they were married. Noe went to New York to join his
father-in-law, Pierre Montels about 1700, who had been an iron merchant in
Canet. It is not clear whether Marie survived the trip. Marie's sister,
Margarite, married Francois Besart (perhaps Bessot), who was a merchant in
London. They also may have immigrated to New York. For a time, Pierre
Montels was in England and attended Huguenot churches there. I don't know if
Noe went to England before going to New York. There appear to be records of
a Pierre and Jean, perhaps his brothers, being active in the French Church
at Threadneedle about 1703. Can anyone help find the names of the parents of
this Pierre and Jean Cazalet? Thank you
Dave Cazalet
