Hello Fellow Listers,
Yes, I have returned from a small sojourn. Filled with
yet more wonder of some of our family ancestors and
relatives thereof. By golly, some are even Huguenot.
Perhpas some of you are already aware of our little
tribe with the genealogy and so I won't bother with too
many "hows and whens".
This a short enquiry that may glean some information
that is helpful to us, as many of those who subscribe
do know so much more or have access to hidden
information. So here again is a chance for those who
have information to come forth.
Mort empoisonné dans des circonstances étranges OR
(Died poisoned in strange circumstances). Yes listers
this was the day, 5 March 1588 that our dear cousin,
many times removed, passed away.
I wonder what was so "strange" about his poisoning ?
Henri DE CONDE married one of the DE NEVERS girls in
1572 but alors it was not to last and so old Harry
married again to one of the DE LA TREMOILLE girls.
Now the father of old Harry was kind of a popular
fellow with the Huguenots especially when he joined up
COLIIGNY and so anything about Louis De Vendôme
(Conde), father of Henri, will be appreciated.
Three children including a second Henri came from this
union. Henri ll became somewhat famous, but perhpas not
as so as his son Louis.
So listers here is our request fro information.
Can anyone offer how any or all of these ancestors
became involved in the Huguenot campaigns ?
We do know enough to keep us happy about Louis and his
dealing with the dastardly Mazzarin, but if you know
more then please write your replies here in the HWE
list for all to see.
You just never know your thoughts on any of this family
may just help other subscribers as well.
Kind Regards,
Peter Leroy
