Evangelisch church records indicate their son, Carl Friedrich KURTH, was born in Heiligensee on 7 March 1825. Unfortunately, church records do not indicate when or where Justine BODIN was born but it does not appear to have been Heiligensee. I suspect she may have been of Huguenot or Walloon ancestry.
Bodin (Boddin, Pottin etc.) is a name appearing in
Brandenburg at least since 1540 (Guten Germendorf, county
Ruppin). It sounds very Brandenburgian and has it's origins
probably in the village of Boddin (eather a village in the
county Prignitz or a small place near Badingen, county
Templin).
