BEAUBEAU (BABEAU, BOBEAU, BOBO, etc.) family. We have found that some
records do exist, though they were ordered destroyed in centuries past. This
may be true for others.
The story of our family research is too extensive to print here, but if one
is interested it can be found at the following URL:
http://genforum.genealogy.com/b/bobo/messages/877.html. A cousin of mine
went to France and finally found a journal which covered our family and many
more in the Poitou area. The last time I was in Salt Lake City, I checked
the Family History Library and they did not have the Journal of Pasteur
Rivierre.
(I wonder if he was related to the Huguenot family of the famous Paul
Rivierre [Revere]).
What I am trying to do is to encourage researchers to keep on digging.
There may be a way over or around the "brick wall." Just because the
information you are seeking is not on the Internet, does not mean it does not
exist.
I still have not found my BEAUBEAU ancestors in England after they fled
France, but within the past two years I have found some very valuable clues.
Genealogical research is a never ending avocation and a final family history
is never written.
Good hunting to all.
